Girth Gear Application
Girth gears are considered to be one of the most important component in the entire gear drive assembly and used in various industrial applications. The highlighted feature of girth gears is that they are made in multiple segments. These segments are of two, four or eight equal sizes. They are also known as Split ring gears or Split rings among industrial users. The girth gear is the heart of most mills and kiln drive system. They can’t be used in spare parts inventory.
